Color Codes in Pharma Industry

PROCEDURE

Ensure the following before starting the colour coding of pipes of the utility lines.

·         Colour coding of the cooling water line for utility: -

·         Ensure the colour coding of the cooling water line for the utility should be of green color       

Background long band with black colour short band in the centre.

·         Colour coding of the Boiler feed water line for utility: -

Ensure the colour coding of the boiler feed water line for the utility should be of green colour                  

          Background long band with Red colour short band in the centre.

·         Colour coding of the Condensate water line for utility: -

Ensure the colour coding of the condensate water line for the utility should be of green colour 

               Background long band with maroon colour short band in the centre.

·         Colour coding of the drinking water line for utility: -

           Ensure the colour coding of the drinking water line for the utility should be of green colour 

           Background long band with black and red colour short band in the centre. Centre bands will 

           be of equal size.

·         Colour coding of the soft water line for utility: -

            Ensure the colour coding of the soft water line for the utility should be of green colour            

Background long band with red and maroon colour short band in the centre. Centre bands will be of equal size.

·         Colour coding of the hot water line for utility: -

Ensure the colour coding of the hot water line for the utility should be of green colour background long band with yellow and grey colour short band in the centre. Centre bands will be of equal size.

·         Colour coding of the chilled water line for utility: -

                Ensure the colour coding of the cooling water line for the utility should be of green  colour                        

Background long band with yellow and black colour short band in the centre. Centre bands

should be of equal size.

·         Colour coding of the compressed air line for utility: -

Ensure the colour coding of the compressed air line for the utility should be of sky blue colour long band.

·         Colour coding of the dry vacuum line for utility: -

          Ensure the colour coding of the dry vacuum line for the utility should be of white colour.

Colour coding of the drainage line for utility: -

Ensure the colour coding of the drainage water line for the utility should be of dark black colour.

·         Colour coding of the low pressure steam line for utility: -

Ensure the colour coding of the low pressure steam line for the utility should be of grey colour 

            Background long band with yellow colour short band in centre.

·         Colour coding of the High speed diesel line for utility: -

Ensure the colour coding of the High speed diesel line for the utility should be of maroon colour.

·         Colour coding of the Furnace oil line for utility: -

                Ensure the colour coding of the Furnace oil used for boiler should be of maroon colour 

               background with Black colour short band in centre.
