Standard operating procedure checklist

standard operating procedure checklist is a documented format which is used to record the
observation or data from a standard operating procedure.

The standard operating procedure checklist are of different type as per the instructions/procedure
mentioned in a particular SOP. Most of the checklist contains the same points which are mentioned
in the Standard Operating procedure. To understand the Checklist, you should read a SOP on
Preventive Maintenance of AHU.

Let’s take an example for Standard Operating checklist for Preventive maintenance of Air Handling
Unit as mentioned below

1	Switch off  the Power supply from HVAC panel.
2	Cleaning of equipment externally and internally.
3	Check Electrical panel for any loose connections.
4	Proper earthing of panel, AHU & DX unit.
5	Free movement of motor & blower. Apply grease if required.
6	Check Smooth operation of all dampers.
7	Check Drain tray cleaning of AHU.
8	Check Door handles door clamps of AHU
9	Check & Do the dry cleaning of condensing coil.
10	Check leakages from condensing unit and all Joint & amp; valve.
11	Check the standing pressure, it should be NLT 260 psi.
12	Start the condensing unit and check suction pressure of condensing unit It should be NLT 110 psi.
13	Start the condensing unit and check Discharge pressure of condensing unit. It should be NMT 450 psi
14	Check any Abnormality/Sound from AHU and DX unit.
15	Check the working of valves and other instruments on Hot water manifold.

From the table we can understand that the Observation mentioned in Preventive maintenance of
AHU are noted in the form of this checklist so that this record can be used to track any history at
a particular time or whenever needed as per need.
