Purpose
This
SOP describes the procedure for cleaning of Sampling Devices.
Procedure:
- After sampling pack, the sampling devices (spatula, scoop etc.) in the polythene bag and bring to utensils washing area.
- Remove the polythene bag and discard it in the waste bin.
- Remove the adhered powder and drain the solution/powder in the wash basin.
- Wash the sampling devices with sufficient quantity of raw water & remove adhered Powder to sampling devices.
- Flush the same thoroughly using raw water; rinse the sampling devices twice with purified Water.
- Dry the devices with the hot air oven.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the sampling devices visually and wrap the cleaned and dried sampling device with polythene bag and store at their appropriate places, for further use.
- Affix the label on the sampling device contains the details of Cleaned on, cleaned by, and use before.
- Cleaned sampling devices can be used up to 48 hrs. After cleaning, if not used rinse with purified water & dry the device in hot air oven.
